The series of Ollie and Bea has grown to be a favourite of my 8-year-old to read. It follows the adventures of best friends Ollie (an owl) and Bea (a bunny). In this book, Ollie is meant to be looking after Bea’s favourite stuffed toy. While Ollie was playing with the stuffed toy, he accidentally got it stuck up a tree and then has to find a way to get it down before Bea finds out!
My 8-year-old loves that it is a graphic novel. She finds it easy and quick to read and I often find her grabbing an Ollie and Bea book to read to herself before she goes to sleep.
Both Ollie and Bea are such endearing characters and their friendship is something that children of this age group can relate to and emulate.
A great read for children aged 4-7 years old.
