This is such a fabulously interactive and engaging book for kids aged 5+.
In this book, the kids are helping Penelope Strudel track down her birthday surprise but has to go through the maze that is Custard Manor to do so. There are clues and puzzles that kids need to work out to then find out which room Penelope goes into next.
In each of the rooms, kids will need to search and find various objects and those pesky puffins to continue moving on to the next clue and page.
It was an absolutely fun read to my 7 year old. It’s a great book to do as a parent with your child as you help them work out the puzzles as well as also helping them search for the various objects. The book to me is like a mix of Where’s Wally and Cluedo! It is beautifully illustrated and a book we will keep on going back to reading during the school holidays and when we are stuck indoors on a rainy day.
