Where's Baby Chick

Where’s Baby Chick? by Ingela P Arrhenius

This book is perfect for babies and toddlers who are being first introduced to books. This is the second book we have in this series and they are my 2 year olds favourite books to grab and sit down and read. It’s a hard book that is perfect for those sometimes rough little hands. Each page focuses on a different farm animal whereby the kids have to lift the flap to find that farm animal.

The interactive aspect of the book is what kids would love about it and they never get sick of lifting those flaps! I love that the flaps are made from felt which adds to their sensory experience when reading the book. Each page is beautifully illustrated with big writing and bright colours.

The text sentences are short, allowing your kids to repeat after you when you are reading out loud. My son’s favourite part of the book is when he gets to the end and the last flap has a mirror where he can see himself. He always laughs with glee and I love that it is another sensory aspect of the book. I highly recommend this book and series of books for those babies or toddlers at home.
