Review of the Little World Builder Kit

Mia and Maxi received a Little World Builder Kit to review and this is why the kids (and I!) love this engaging kit.

More than just a craft kit

What captured my interest with Little World Builder kits is the focus on kids learning about world architecture. There is a real learning element to the kits which I absolutely love. There are two editions that you can choose from. One is a World Building Edition and the other is a World Structure Edition. Mia & Maxi received the World Building Edition – Big Ben Themed and they had such a great time discovering such a famous building as well as lots of information about it.

Update to subscription model – 25 May 2021

The subscription offer has now changed. Little World Builder have now combined World Structure and World Building into one edition with the name ‘World Architecture Edition’ and plans has now changed to monthly, 6 months and 12 months. Subscribers will receive World Building for the first 6 months, and World Structure for the next 6 months.

What’s inside?

The first box your child receives will provide them with everything they need to learn about world architecture over the next 7 months. The yellow toolbox is a place for the kids to keep all of their belongings from their adventures around the world.

They will receive a wall sized world map where the kids will collect map stickers from subsequent kits to stick on the map and they will need to locate where that world building is located on the map. A fun activity for those kids learning about the world and geography for the first time.

They will receive a scrapbook cover which you can bind with the following scrapbook pages that will be included in the subsequent kits.

Each kit will come along with Activities Cards and Building Notes whereby the kids will learn more about the world building they are exploring as well as fun facts and information.

Mia and Maxi’s favourite part was the 3D puzzle they had to build of the Big Ben. With easy to follow instructions, they were so excited to show off their finished building and Mia happily shows it off to anyone who comes over for a visit!

Each kit also comes with a themed craft activity, so something else to keep the kids busy building and making on their own.

No locked in subscription

The beauty of these kits is that you have the option to choose a month to month subscription – so your kids can try it and if they like it, you can continue to purchase the kits on a month to month basis. You can also access a lower kit rate by purchasing 3 month or 6 month option which means you are locked in for that amount of months BUT you are saving money per kit.

Now even though Little World Builder is based in the UK, they have opened up a small office in Australia which means you wouldn’t be paying those international shipping costs as there is a whole bunch of kits based in Australia so you would paying local shipping costs (phew!)

I also have an offer for our readers. You can get 40% off the first month on a Monthly Plan! Just use the code VA40 at checkout.

Overall

I think the Little World Builder is really good value for money. The kids will get a lot in their boxes and I do love the educational factor that is embedded in each box they receive. Now more than ever that we are unable to travel due to COVID, the importance of teaching our kids about the world around them is so relevant and if we can not take the kids there, then at least Little World Builder brings the world to your kids – in the comfort of their own home.
